About
Danny Luehring's Grateful Dead band has played every Wednesday since late 2021, first at the Papermill Creek Saloon in Forest Knolls and, since 2024, at Peri's Tavern in Fairfax. It also plays The Deluxe (SF) and HopMonk (Sebastopol). Danny is on drums every week while the rest of the band rotates. This page tracks who has sat in, using public web listings and Instagram posts. It's a work in progress, so send your additions.
A short history
- December 2021 – 2024: Wednesdays at the Papermill Creek Saloon, Forest Knolls.
- 2024 – now: Wednesdays at Peri's Tavern, Fairfax, after the Papermill closed. Since Nov 2026, Peri's Wednesday shows start at 7:30pm for winter hours (@danny_luehring reel).
Musicians
Core rotation means a regular, frequently listed player. Guest means a repeat or notable sit-in. One-time means only one dated appearance was found. Unconfirmed means a handle or name came up but the person or role isn't verified.
"# of Appearances" counts the separate dated appearances in these sources, including other venues. A "+" means the source describes a range of dates, so the real number is higher. "—" means the source didn't say. One web source spells John Varn as "John Vorn", Garrett Deloian as "Deloin" and Greg Loiacono as "Loiciano".

One row per dated show we could find, newest first. Danny is on drums at every show, so he isn't listed. Every lineup here is partial: it only includes the people a source names for that night. Tap a name to see that person's entry. Player sources link each player's own entry source, which may not be from that night.
Show counts can be lower than People appearances, because month-only dates can't be tied to a show.

Gaps we want to fill
The Papermill years (late 2021 to 2024) are thin. Only a few lineups from that era are documented, such as 3/27/24. JamBase listings cut off after a few names.
@dannyslivedead has 0 posts, so there's no official band archive on Instagram. The oldest posts on @danny_luehring and @peristavern weren't scanned. Many entries are missing an instrument, and the two handle-only names still need to be matched to real people. Facebook events, YouTube, archive.org and the Marin IJ haven't been searched in depth. Well over 200 shows have happened, so this list is only a sample.
